FAQs

It depends on the adventures that you would like to experience. The deer bellow has a short season, from the end of September till mid-October. The hiking routes that require physical activity are more suitable in spring and autumn when the weather is not too hot, whereas the wildlife watching activities can be done all along the season, as our vehicles and facilities have air-conditioning.

There are different ways to reach Boumort reserve:

Public transport

From Barcelona or Madrid, you can get to Lleida-Pirineus train station by AVE trains. Once in Lleida, you will need to take a regional train until La Pobla de Segur, town where our tours usually start. At La Pobla de Segur train station, there is a complete visitor centre with tourist information and facilities to repair bikes, as well as changing rooms for all those responsible travelers who use public transport and may need any of those services.

Private transfer

If you prefer to travel comfortably, we can provide private transfer services door to door by a Mercedes van up to 8 people with all comforts and amenities. An expert English-speaking driver will take care of every detail.

It also depends on the activity. For those adventures that include a long hiking trek, we recommend being a usual hiker and be used to walking long hours. Otherwise, it will become a problem for you and for the guide who leads the route. Remember that Boumort is very remote and it takes time, effort and permissions to move a vehicle in the reserve. If you are not used to hike, we recommend choosing the half-day or one-day activities, which include short hikes and 4×4 transfers and are designed for all type of publics.

It is possible to visit Boumort with children. We offer ½ day or 1-day wildlife watching activities that are suitable for all publics. Regarding longer programs, especially the ones including long hiking routes, we recommend a minimum age of 15 years old and participants must be usual hikers.

We always recommend bringing a good pair of trainers or hiking boots that hold feet firmly, as well as a camera in case you would like to capture some memories of your trip. We will provide all the technical material needed for the activities. Once you book your adventure, we will send you a detailed document with all the material needed.

We will be pleased to help you organizing a tailor-made program just for you. For us it is really important to satisfy all your needs. If you cannot do any of the activities included in the programs offered, there is always a way to skip them. Contact us and we will elaborate an exclusive proposal.

Of course, we are also a DMC, which means that we provide all the services a travel agency can offer. This means, transfers from/to Barcelona or any other city and various types of accommodation, as well as trip extensions to visit more areas in the Pyrenees.
