Location
The activities proposed are focused in Boumort Wildlife Reserve, a major protected area of 13097ha which aims to preserve and enhance the wild fauna and the ecosystems existing in it. It is located in the lower Pyrenees, just 2h30 minutes away from Barcelona, and it consists of a wide natural area embracing many highlands and valleys of three different regions: Pallars Jussà, Pallars Sobirà and Alt Urgell.
Its favourable weather conditions make it accessible during three different seasons along the year, from April till the end of October. The best time to visit the reserve would be spring and autumn; in summer you must be ready for hot weather conditions, time when temperatures can easily exceed 30 degrees Celsius.
We encourage you to explore and discover one of the most isolated territories, gateway to the Pyrenees and home of the four great European vultures and the impressive red deer.
